Heathfield LE MARCHÉ

Each year, on August Bank Holiday Monday, Heathfield holds its French Market.  The Station Road area, from the junction with the High Street is closed to all traffic and the place abounds with market stalls (French and English), plus a day of FREE entertainment for all age groups, although we cannot cater for heavy metal fans as the stallholders have to be able to hear their customers!.  Stay with us on this site for full details of the entertainment but, for general information regarding the event, please visit the official site:

http://www.heathfieldfrenchmarket.co.uk

The event is open from 09.30 until 15.30, and the next one is being planned for Mon. 30th August 2021

In those six hours there is something for everyone, with entertainment usually at four sites. Due to the Covid situation the 2021 event is being planned to just be outdoors (as things stand) but we are hoping to bring you almost as much entertainment as usual, including the popular entertainment for the children.

Full details of the entertainment will appear here in due course.

There may be changes to the entertainment programme due to circumstances beyond our control…..But it’s free!

THE WHOLE EVENT IS FREE TO VISITORS.  IF YOU ENJOY YOURSELVES, PLEASE PUT A DONATION IN THE COLLECTING BUCKETS (if you are able), WHICH ARE FOR SPECIFIC GOOD CAUSES EACH YEAR.  ALSO, PLEASE SUPPORT THE TRADERS AND THE PROGRAMME ADVERTISERS IF YOU CAN.  IT IS THEIR SUPPORT THAT ALLOWS THE ORGANISERS TO STAGE THE FREE ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME.  Thank You.

This event is not profit-making (if there is any surplus then it goes to charity) and is organised and run entirely by volunteers. If you would like to help please ring Richard Ridley on 01435 897536.
